The designer of the theatre in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) asked Neri to create a large post topped to look like a proper lamp, with a lavish feel and plenty of lights. The result suggests a kind of extension of the theatre into the foyer, which is thus enhanced and raised above its function of lesser importance. The white structure, large arches and sea backdrop come together to make this a particularly charming setting.
