Italian Museum of Cast Iron
The Neri Foundation - Italian Museum of Cast Iron is a non - profit organization born in 1991. Neri S.P.A. sponsored the Museum, in order to spread the knowledge of cast iron urban furniture, that played a central role in defining the urban landscape between the end of XVIII and the beginning of XX century. The activities developed by the Museum are directed to the preservation of cast iron manufactures and to enhance the knowledge of this manufacturing tradition, embracing different fields of interest: from history to anthropology and social science without neglecting the aspects more connected to technology and design.
