NERI is partner of the Politecnico of Milan in the sphere of professional higher education with a Masters degree in “Lighting design & LED Technology”, which has now reached its 10th edition, training the lighting designers of the future.
The Masters degree programme has the objective of training professionals able to follow the process of lighting design: for interior architecture, urban exteriors, in the world of entertainment, in museum and temporary exhibitions, in connection with the productive and technological innovations in the sector. The result of the Masters degree is an innovative professional with skills that fit into the main lighting design activities in companies in the lighting industry, in professional studios and technical offices within the public administration.
The School of Design at the Politecnico of Milan is currently the largest international university, in both number of students and number of teachers, for the training of designers of products, communication, interiors and fashion. The laboratories - managed by the Department of Design - occupy an area of about 10,000 square metres within the Milan Bovisa campus and are, together with the vast system of engineering laboratories, the largest global centre for support of research in the field of design in terms of size, available equipment and resources system. The Politeca integrates with the laboratories, as a documentation centre for research in the design field.
