Neri’s presence on the Indian market began in 2012. Over the years, it has strengthened its position and spread throughout the country. Testament to this are the projects we present here, which range from large residential complexes – the irrefutable new towns – and famous places in India’s history, to futuristic complexes like Aerocity in New Delhi.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus
The railway station in Mumbai dates back to 1887 and was originally named Victoria Terminus in honour of Queen Victoria. In 1996, the station changed its name to Chhatrapati Shivaji, after the 17th century king.
In 2004, the station was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Gateway of India
The Gateway of India looks onto the port of Mumbai and the Arabian Sea and is one of India’s most unique points of reference. The colossal structure was built in 1924 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Bombay. Since then, the Gateway has been used as a symbolic entrance to India for viceroys and new governors of Mumbai. In front of this symbolic archway on 28 February 1948, a ceremony took place to mark the departure of the last British troops and divisions to leave India after it gained independence.
The Fort overlooking the park's hill was built by the British East India Company between 1669 and 1677 and divided the British and Portuguese parts.
The hill is covered in lush vegetation and was recently transformed into a garden by the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Udyan.
The Lodha Group is constructing millions of square metres and tens of thousands of residential units throughout India. In Mumbai, Palava is growing. It is a smart city with a high liveability quotient where the aim is to build better living. The project spans 4,500 hectares with over 20,000 homes.
Hiranandani Estate is the first residential centre with retail space in Thane, Mumbai. It was developed by Hiranandani, one of the biggest companies in India. It spans a total area of 250 hectares, on which stand 110 towers. Currently, more than 20,000 families call it home. Public structures such as schools, hospitals, transport and gardens are already part of the residential centre.
Goa, known for its beaches and Portuguese colonial architecture, is a region rich in flora and fauna, considered one of the world’s 21 hotspots for biodiversity.
In a city with a strong focus on tourism, the Neri products chosen included the most modern and contemporary shapes, whilst not excluding the classic ones entirely, especially for historical places like temples.
Aerocity was designed as part of the Master Plan of Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and is home to 16 large hotels and shopping centres. Aerocity’s hospitality district offers fast access to the airport and is also located in a central position between the business areas of Delhi and Gurgaon.
M3M Cosmopolitan is a commercial project developed by M3M in Gurgaon.
It is an incredible mix of spaces for retail trade, restaurants and offices.
DLF Golf Course
DLF Golf Course is a country club situated in Sector 42 Gurgaon and was built and is maintained by DLF Limited. It has played host to many international professional tournaments. Not only did DLF create an excellent golf resort, but an entire district around the course, and is now a model followed by the entire country.
Hotel Taj Palace
The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in New Delhi is an IHCL hotel located near the Diplomatic Enclave. The luxurious Taj Palace, New Delhi, sits in six hectares of verdant gardens in the heart of India’s capital. It is an oasis of calm despite its central location.
Vigyan Bhawan is a Government of India convention centre in New Delhi. Built in 1956,
it has hosted conferences of a national and international stature, seminars and ceremonies attended by illustrious world leaders and heads of government.
